About the event

Mid-Autumn has long been honoured as a time to celebrate the bonds of fellowship, and the collective human desire for union and completion, symbolised by the full harvest moon. It is also an ideal time to explore personal expansion and growth, as we prepare to enter into the final months of 2024.

At Fang, we are excited to host our inaugural Mid-Autumn chahui (茶會) at Pearl’s Hill Terrace. This chahui comprises two segments: The first segment, led by calligraphy designer Corinna, invites participants to write their own lines or words/characters of choice on paper lanterns using classical Chinese cursive script (行書 xingshu). This is then followed by an immersive tea experience hosted by Jia Min and Kenny, featuring a seasonal confection and teas picked specifically for Mid-Autumn.

Through the stroke of the brush and a cup of tea, we hope to glimpse the profound beauty of Mid-Autumn in its depth and richness. As the moon hangs high upon the demesnes of night, may this chahui create the space within us to find solace and rest in the glow of a new lunar cycle.

To note: In consideration of the comfort of all guests, we suggest no (or light) application of fragrance. As we’ll be seated on cushions on the floor, please dress comfortably and appropriately.

Registration is confirmed upon payment. Price is inclusive of materials.
